The Good Climate is looking for qualified Intern applicants who are determined and creative problem solvers to work for a dynamic sustainability start-up based in Dubai, UAE. For this internship position, the successful candidate must have extensive experience with research and an awareness of global sustainability issues. The intern will work with team members in Berlin, Karachi, Luxembourg, and Moscow, researching and cataloging business, organization, and government data and information from websites, catalogs, articles, white papers, and reports, focused on the environment, business operations, and ministerial initiatives, among other topics.
The internship requires that the selected candidate be adaptable; able to respond to a variety of tasks; capable of shifting focus in response to evolving priorities; and comfortable integrating new information. Applicants should be problem solvers that digest new information quickly and communicate multifaceted data in an organized, simple and clear fashion.
In return, our Research Analyst intern will be provided an opportunity to learn invaluable problem-solving skills, conduct wide-ranging and high-impact research, and to further refine their analytical skills as team members. Furthermore, interns will have the opportunity to present their own research and project ideas for constructive feedback from our experienced team.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Gathers data to meet specific objectives by using various informational sources
Assists in planning design instrumentation and research methodology for gathering data
Conducts quantitative and qualitative research and establishes a database to catalogue, update and retrieve data
Analyzes data to determine trend, discrepancies or other issues
Coordinates meetings with targeted audiences to clarify informational issues, which may include committees, consultants, business owners, etc.
Authors reports to provide a summary of findings.
Technical/functional competencies:
Excellent oral and written skills and communication
Strong analytical aptitude; efficient and effective planner and organizer
Able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
Comfortable being proactive and taking initiative: ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team; able to listen and collaborate with a diverse range of players
Knowledge of and skill in data analysis and problem solving; ability to establish databases, track data, identify variables and utilize various resources to gather data
Suited to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities
Competent to establish contact with and request information from professionals and business owners
Computer proficiency: MS Office

For this internship position, the successful candidate must have experience in social media – specifically LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram; excellent communication skills; self-confidence; and an awareness of global sustainability issues.
The intern will work with team members in Berlin, Dubai, Islamabad and Luxembourg, researching current events and international developments in environment and sustainability. The intern will monitor and post interesting data and information from websites, catalogs, articles, white papers, and reports, focused on the environment, business operations, and ministerial initiatives, among other topics, on TGC’s social media.
The internship requires that the selected candidate be adaptable; able to respond to a variety of tasks; capable of shifting focus in response to evolving priorities; and comfortable integrating new information.
